10/19/05 "The bump outs on South Avenue at Hamilton Street are not draining rainwater well. The water pools into huge lakes and remains for days after rains end."

BASWA Response: President Philip Duquette has contacted both Bergmann Associates, the engineers who designed the bump outs, and SWPC who contracted the bump outs, to make them aware of this problem.

11/27/05 "When will the 490 East South Avenue exit ramp be re-opened?"

BASWA Response: Secretary Tracy Saville has emailed the NYSDOT requesting an answer to this question. NYSDOT response will be forwarded to businesses and website updated when received. For more info on The Troup-Howell Bridge project, click here: http://trouphowellbridge.com/

Hi Philip and the gang,
Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for the New Year's Eve swing dance! As a long-time contra and swing dancer, it was a thrill beyond thrills to have
a dance on our very own street! May it only be the first of many, many
more!
I genuflect on bended knee to the ladies attending to the little ones in
the play room. Normally my kids love to dance, but they had so much fun in
the play room that they hardly appeared on the dance floor. If only every
dance we attend provided such luxury!
Although it is probably a day late and a dollar short, a profound favor to
ask. I was delighted to see my family featured in one of the photos in the
printed program. If any copies remain, I'd love to have a few more.
Please keep in mind my soy candles for next year's event, either as part
of the table decorations and/or for the silent auction.
Many thanks one and all for a delightful, delightful evening. We look
forward to this becoming a New Year's Eve tradition!
