
Cooperative Advertising: There is
strength in numbers, and BASWA has finally succeeded in launching several
successful cooperative advertising campaigns to showcase different member
businesses together in the same print and television ads. So if you are
wondering where your membership dollars go (besides the planters, benches,
flowers, New Year's Eve Swing Dance, Holiday decorating contest, check THIS
out:
City Newspaper: BASWA
negotiated a group rate for member businesses to share a full page ad in
City Newspaper twice a month. BASWA has also contributed to the campaign to
reduce costs for members, and we also received funding from SEI as well. Business owners interested in participating in
this great program can contact
Terri DeBonis at City to get all the details. Cost to member businesses:
$82.50 per ad.
The Wedge Newspaper:
BASWA has purchased a year of advertising in our neighborhood's newspaper.
Our first ad featured 2 local member businesses, and also welcomed several
new businesses into the neighborhood. Cost to member businesses: $0.

upcoming projects and will include businesses on a first come first
served basis so please respond promptly!

Time Warner Cable:
BASWA has hired local video production company
321 Productions to produce
three different 30 second television advertisements to air on Time Warner
Cable throughout May & June (and hopefully beyond). Each spot features 6
unique South Wedge businesses, their logos, and the "Savor Our Flavor"
theme. This ambitious project was funded with membership dollars, funds
raised during our New Year's Eve Swing Dance, and also
funds from SEI (A branch of SWPC). Cost to member businesses: $0

Democrat & Chronicle's
"Insider Magazine" Going Out Guide: BASWA purchased a full page ad
with the theme of
Eat, Drink, & Shop in the South Wedge.
We were able to feature 18
different South Wedge specialty businesses. Cost to member businesses: $0.
The Business Association of the South
Wedge Area of Rochester, New York is a not-for-profit organization
working towards promoting and assisting local businesses and enhancing
the neighborhood through beautification projects.
